The first full buddy line gathering

by Edwin T on Oct.04, 2009, under happenings

2nd October 2009 night was made important to my medical school life because of the very first full buddy line gathering (my own line), which was successfully held in Redbox Low Yat, KL.

Besides having the fun of karaoke-ing, Redbox serves also dinner buffet offering a wide range of variety for us to choose on. But too bad, I did not eat a single scoop of my favorite chocolate ice cream that day. It was out of stock!

I indeed felt very honored (and I believe all other members did!) as Xue Ping had given his very first time of karaoke-ing experience to us. It was quite hard to persuade him singing initially, but I saw him really enjoyed towards the end. :)

The first timer! Xue Ping..

We got to know each other better through this gathering. Especially Shi Wei, who has just joined our big family. Surprisingly, we share a number of interests and having a few things in common!

We took quite a number of photos throughout the 5 hours we spent in Redbox (surely some are only for private viewing). In all the photos, I love this one the most! Partly it is due to the sacrifice Xun Quan had to make for this piece of “art”, I think. XD

Sacrifice Xun Quan made for my great shot. haha

This is the “sacrifice” I meant just now. Funny huh? :)

We had a very special guest, menantu Caryn, joining us just a few doors away from our room. Well, the blame was put on the new Redbox tidbits charge. Or else we could have been singing together. Hope you don’t mind, Caryn. :)

Thank you all to make this gathering a memorable one. Don’t you guys know that this is my dream for the past 4 years? (Jia Hui knows the most as I’ve been mentioning this since her first year. Haha~)

My full buddy line (From right): Me (Class of 2010), Jia Hui (Class of 2011), Xun Quan (Class of 2012), Xue Ping (Class of 2013) and the newly joined Shi Wei (Class of 2014). :)

May our buddy-ship lasts forever! And hope it continues even after I’ve graduated. Who knows one day I might be giving clinical teachings to my own little buddy when I come back to the faculty as a lecturer many years later, right? (Big dream)
