Off to Teluk Intan
by Edwin T on Jun.21, 2009, under deep in the heart, sarah brightman
Bye bye to UKMMC again! This time the destination is Teluk Intan and I will get my 2-week O&G posting there. Really looking forward for it. Especially wishing to conduct at least 5 deliveries there and to complete the tasks in my log book. Oh! Not to forget my 2 case write ups, which need to be passed up once coming back here.
P.S. Recently, I am so in love with Sarah Brightman’s All I Ask of You from the soundtrack of Phantom of the Opera. Am I love desperation? Haha~
No more talk of darkness
Forget these wide-eyed fears
I’m here
Nothing can harm you
My words will warm and calm you
Let me be your freedom
Let daylight dry your tears
I’m here
With you, beside you
To guard you and to guide you
Say you love me every weakening moment
Turn my head with talk to summertime
Say you need me with you now and always
Promise me that all you say is true
That’s all I ask of youLet me be your shelter
Let me be your light
You’re safe
No one will find you
Your fears are far behind youAll I want is freedom
A world with no more night
And you
Always beside me
To hold me and to hide meThen say you’ll share with me one love,
One lifetime
Let me lead you from your solitude
Say you want me
And you need me
Beside you
Anywhere you go, let me go too
That’s all I ask of you
Say you’ll share with me one love
One lifetime
Say the word and I will follow you
Share each day with me,
Each night, each morning
Say you love me
You know I do
Love me, that’s all I ask of you
Love me, that’s all I ask of you
What a Wonderful World!
by Edwin T on Jun.19, 2008, under deep in the heart, sarah brightman
It’s now 2.44 in the morning but I’m still sitting in front of my computer, looking for journals from online databases. They are all meant for my research’s literature review. There is still a lot more to do.
While doing my job, I’m listening to my favorite Sarah Brightman’s collection of songs, again. Then this song – “What a Wonderful World” was played.
On listening, I found out that recently I maybe have too many grudges on things happening around me.
Repeatedly changing combination of postings, failed application for posting in Netherlands, rumors, annoying people etc…
However, I can feel the singer’s delight in the SIMPLE enjoyment of everyday life. Ya! Simple but make the fullest of a day. Grudging towards something which is out of the power of our control isn’t look beneficial.
Being OPTIMISTIC and have a HOPEFUL INSIGHTS regarding future! I must really going towards this way..
Attached herewith is the lyric of this song which was originally sung by Louis Armstrong. Enjoy!
I see trees of green, red roses too
I see them bloom for me and you
And I think to myself what a wonderful world.I see skies of blue and clouds of white
The bright blessed day, the dark sacred night
And I think to myself what a wonderful world. The colors of the rainbow so pretty in the sky
Are also on the faces of people going by
I see friends shaking hands saying, “How do you do?”
They’re really saying, “I love you!”I hear babies crying, I watch them grow
They’ll learn much more than I’ll never know
And I think to myself what a wonderful world
Yes I think to myself what a wonderful world.p/s: almost in every line I see positivity in seeing something. I suddenly recalled what Prof. Muhaya said during her lecture 2 weeks ago,”Visualizing positively and you’ll see everything positive & great!”
The Journey Home..
by Edwin T on Jun.09, 2008, under saja-saja kacau, sarah brightman
Listening to Sarah Brightman’s “The Journey Home” right now. This song has been in my collection long ago but I just found out that I never have such a strong feeling to this song until today.
This song was composed by A.R. Rahman, a well-renown music composer from India, while the lyrics was written by Don Black, an English lyricist.
The melody and the lyrics of this song have worked synergistically, producing a great effect on my feeling of home returning.
Yup! It won’t be long.. Just 2 more weeks to go!
The journey home is never too long
Your heart arrives before the train
The journey home is never too long
Some yesterdays always remainI’m going back to where my heart was light
When my pillow was a ship, I sailed through the nightNot every boat you come across is one you have to take
Now sometimes standing still can be
the best move you ever makeThe journey home is never too long
Home hopes to heal the deepest pain
The journey home is never too long
Your heart arrives before the train
